Governor Lombardo Appoints Mike Neubecker to Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board

NEVADA, August 20 - CARSON CITY, Nev. — Today, Governor Joe Lombardo announced the appointment of longtime hospitality and gaming executive Mike Neubecker to the Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board.

Neubecker brings more than three decades of experience in the gaming and hospitality industry, rising from finance roles to overseeing some of the country’s most prominent resort properties.

Neubecker began his career at MGM Grand Las Vegas in 1993, shortly before the resort opened, serving in several financial leadership positions, including Senior Accountant, Construction Controller, and Director of Finance. He later moved to Michigan, where he served in multiple executive roles at MGM Grand Detroit, including Assistant Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. In 2016, he was named President and Chief Operating Officer of MGM Grand Detroit.

In 2019, Neubecker returned to Nevada as President and COO of MGM Grand Las Vegas. His responsibilities later expanded to include oversight of MGM Grand, Excalibur, New York-New York, and The Signature. Earlier this year, Neubecker added Mandalay Bay and Luxor to his executive portfolio.

“Mike Neubecker is an outstanding addition to the Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board,” said Governor Joe Lombardo. “His decades of experience in finance, hospitality, and executive management, combined with his tremendous work ethic, will be an asset to the board. As Las Vegas continues to establish itself as one of the world’s premier destinations for professional sports and entertainment, Mike brings exactly the kind of leadership and experience we need.”

Neubecker’s appointment to the Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board became effective on Wednesday, August 19.
